I enjoyed this very much, the glimpses into these famous lives are very vivid. Author Reply: Thank you so much! It was interesting to go so far back with some of these characters, to try to think how their lives must've been during their formative years. I'm very glad you liked it!

I think writing Tolkien fic is like riding a bike... not very easily forgotten! I loved the way you framed these as a whole: not giving names (but still keeping the characters recognizable enough so that, even if we didn't catch them on the first time 'round, we could facepalm ourselves heartily for not doing so) really enforced the commonalities among the characters and their relationship to the City. Well done, and I hope that you get some more stuff written here. I remember Stars from my lurkdays and really hope to see it finished someday if you're ever up to reconstructing your notes. We really need some fresher hobbit writers to shake things up a bit! Welcome back! Author Reply: I think you're right! I've been working on some little light-hearted scenes, and it all came to me pretty naturally. :D Wow, thanks so much for the feedback! I was a little worried that it wouldn't be cohesive enough, so that's really great to hear! I don't know about picking up Stars where I left it off, but I would like to revisit that story in some way or another. I definitely have more hobbity things in the works! I always felt very welcome in this fandom, and it's good to know that hasn't changed!

I had to laugh at Pippin's vignette. How so very Pippin! But all were properly done, and well written. Thank you so for these! Author Reply: Pippin's good for that sort of thing, hehe! I knew I had to include him, if only to lighten the mood a bit. Thank you for reading, I'm so glad you liked it!

Those are all just lovely, and thoughtful, and I guessed each and every one of them, so I do not think they were in the least bit vague! Welcome back to Middle-earth! You have been missed. Do you suppose we may ever see an ending to "Stars May Collide"? Author Reply: Thank you so very much! It's good to be back. I don't know about continuing Stars as it is now (especially since I lost all the notes I had for it in a computer disaster a few years back); but I've been toying with the idea of rewriting some of those old stories. In the meantime, I've got a few new hobbity fics brewing in my head, so I'll see where that takes me. :D

This is a wonderful and very thoughtful series. I enjoyed all of them, but especially these wise words of Gandalf: "Remember the Sun, and the trees, and the things that yet live.” There was a sternness to the wizard’s voice that belied the softness of his eyes. “Do not dwell only on what is lost, for that is how men fall into decay.” Author Reply: Thank you so much! I've always wanted to write a scene between Gandalf and young Faramir, and I'm very glad you liked how it turned out!

Wonderful! Each voice is strong and distinct, and the whole piece is like a rainbow with the colors separate and yet harmonious, shining all together. ~~~~~{~@ Author Reply: Wow, that really means a lot to me, thank you so much! I'm very glad you liked it!

Mmm, I liked this. All of them learning what is, and foreshadowing what will be. I don't think it's too vague, the only one I didn't get was Pippin. I loved the language, the flow that continued even through the different people. You did a wonderful job linking them all together, even with them being very different individuals. Welcome back to Tolkien, and hope you write more! Author Reply: Hee, Pippin's is a bit of a change from the others, so I can see how his might be harder to guess. I'm so glad you thought it was cohesive, I was a bit worried about that. I really appreciate the feedback, thank you so very much!
