I am so proud of Ingalaurė. He displayed a strength that I am sure no one expected, especially Ingoldo. I just hope nothing bad happens to the rest of the family. (A spawn of Melkor describes Ingoldo perfectly.) Author Reply: Hi Tari. Ingalaurė truly shines here and he does have strengths of which even he is unaware. As to what happens from here, that remains to be seen. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

Ooh, bless the boy! Bless him! Excellent move, as it forces Ingoldo out into the open, and shows Ingalaure's mettle at the same time. Ingoldo only THOUGHT he'd managed to win over the lad. Author Reply: Very true, Larner. Ingalaurė is a lot stronger than he knows or anyone else thinks. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

Good for Ingalaure to stand up to Ingoldo, at least in a small way. Ingoldo is a nasty piece of work. I hope he reaps what he sows. I knew he was not a very nice elf, but he turns out to be much worse than I thought. Quite a villain. Luckily not everyone buys into his schemes. But as history tells, a few bad people can terrorize the majority. I hope Ingalaure gets some support to remove his uncle from power. Author Reply: Hi obsidianj. Yes, Ingoldo is indeed a nasty piece of work. We'll see how well Ingalaurė handles things though we will be spending some time looking in on Arafinwė and seeing what he's up to before we do. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it a lot.

I have finally caught up on all of the chapters, and I promise to leave a proper review of each of them as time allows, but before I leave for church, I just had to tell you that I had tears dripping down my cheeks as Ingalaure announced that he would be his father's Steward, and not the new High King. It reminded me of the scene in Nargothrond when Finrod's crown passed to his nephew. I've shed a lot of tears in the recent chapters, but please don't feel that's a bad thing. When I'm reading this, I feel as if I am there, and I have grown to love the characters as if they were living people I know well. This is a dark story, but it's one that needed to be told. Well done! Author Reply: Hi Rhyselle. Glad to hear you've caught up. I look forward to any reviews you wish to leave. This is a dark story, but I always thought it was one that needed to be told, too. Even so, this story has taken a number of surprising turns that I was not expecting and I hope readers will continue to enjoy reading this story in spite of these unexpected turns. The characters are very much real to me and demand to tell their stories their way and I often have very little say about it. *grin* Anyway, thanks for taking the time to let me know how much you are enjoying the story and how much you've grown to love the characters. I really appreciate it.

Good morning, Atto indonyo *hugs Fiondil* This story just keeps getting darker (well, that's rather expected) and more complicated...I wonder what, exactly, Ingoldo has up his sleeve. What has he done to Tam? Where exactly is Ingwe? And what is Ingwion's group going to do now that the Valar have refused them aid? I do hope they'll be able to save the day! Ingoldo truly frightens me. His methods of manipulation remind me of my own adar's, turned up to eleven, as they say. He's really, really scary. *shudders* I've been reading and wanting more of this fic as it's gone along, so I'm sorry for sparse reviews. I'm still here, I promise. *hugs* I can't wait to see what will happen next! Tye-melin tenn' Ambar-metta, Kaylee Author Reply: Hi Kaylee. Yes, it does keep getting darker and unfortunately it gets darker still before it gets lighter, but I promise there is light at the end. We will see what Ingoldo is up to but for the next several weeks we will actually be looking in on Arafinwė and then we will go back to Ingwion and also Ingalaurė. Eventually all the different threads of this story will come together but it won't be anytime soon. Ingoldo is very frightening. Fėanįro and the Noldor were not the only ones affected by Melkor's taint, though Ingoldo does not recognize this, nor do the other Elves. And the shock of the loss of the Trees does not help any. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate you taking the time to do so.

Way to go Ingalure! Took him a little while, but I think Ingalure has finally found his spine, now to see what Ratty does next! I don't think Ingalure could have said or done anything else to p**s his uncle off! One thing, Ingoldo has tied his hands a little as to what he can do to the Royal Family, if any of them show up with any kind of injuries people will know and they will have to be visible. I hope Tam is O.K., but he is one smart ellon, he will survive! Now to find Ingwe and how did Ratty get his signature? Huggs, Lynda (p.s. Apologies to Ratty of 'The Wind in the Willows'!) Author Reply: Hi Lynda. Ingalaurė is stronger than he realizes or anyone knows (as Nįmo commented earlier). We will actually be leaving Ingalaurė for a bit to look in on Arafinwė. The next part of the story will be his to tell and he has a pivotal role to play though it will take the Valar some time to prepare him for it as you will shortly see. I doubt Ingoldo got Ingwė to sign the writ of abdication. I'm sure he's been practicing forging his brother's signature for some time now. That's just the sort of thing he would do and. Bravo for Ingalaurė! Very brave! I wonder if his uncle will act in front of all the court. That will be his chance to speak. The loyal could have size the palace, and the people will stand with him. I don't think that his uncle has a chance. Ok, waiting till Monday, I'm really hooked with this story; I have almost forgotten the other elves.... Author Reply: Hi Fantasia. We will see what happens with Ingalaurė and his uncle eventually, but for a while we will be checking in on Arafinwė and then Ingwion and even Intarion, as well as Ingalaurė and Ingwė and all the others. You may have almost forgotten the other Elves, but I haven't. *grin* It will just take time to weave all the different strands of the story together. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

Gosh Ingoldo makes me mad! Typo alert. "Lord Tamurilon was seen by many attempting to leave the city with Her Majesty and Prince Ingoldo and Princess Indil. Shouldn't that be Prince Ingalaurė not Ingoldo? Really enjoying the story so far :) Mr.Namo Author Reply: Hi Mr.Namo! Thanks for the typo alert; it's been corrected. And I re-read this chapter last night and still missed it! *Headdesk* I appreciate you letting me know how much you are enjoying the story. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
