Excellent discovery, as Manwe and Ulmo and Aule cooperate a bit to uncover the conspirators. Glad they spotted that downed tree! Author Reply: It was obviously a joint effort on the part of several of the Valar. *grin* Thanks for reading and reviewing, Larner. I appreciate it.

Oh ho! The plot thickens. Where does the tunnel go I wonder? I liked how even Ingwe is so utterly nonplussed about Arafinwe's abrupt maturation. Author Reply: Hi Bookworm. The plot thickens, indeed, and we will see where the tunnel goes eventually. I think a lot of people are going to be a bit nonplussed by Arafinwë's maturation, though it's not really abrupt, it's just that no one's seen him for a while and they all remember how he was before. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it very much.

Well they're on their way, I found it rather telling that Arafinwe would not look on his Atar's grave. It would apear that the Valar are not as disinterested in helping Ingwe and Ingalure as they make out, that storm seemed to be very specific about where and what it hit. Huggs, Lynda Author Reply: Hi Lynda. Yes, they're on their way and all the story threads will be converging over the next couple of chapters, though the story is far from over. And the Valar are playing a behind-the-scenes game, helping without seeming to be helping and while much of that storm was natural and the damage it caused inevitable, certainly it uprooting one particular tree so it reveals what is hidden is not, but anyone who has experienced a tornado knows how capricious they are in where they land and what the destroy. At the end, Irene proved to be helpful, good that deviated from NY all the way to Valinor. (The Valras are helping, in their subtle way) At this point, Ingalaurë seems to be more in command; he seems to have matured faster than Ingwion. I guess that the beating and the prison catalyzed his maturity. Hopefully, they will find the Queen and the Lady Indil . And Ingwë, forced to make the rulers’ hardest decision, your people over family, the good of many over the good of few. Author Reply: Hi Fantasia. Yes, between the storm and the Valar certain truths are being revealed in a way that appears natural. I think Ingalaurë's experiences haven't so much matured him (though there is a degree of truth in that) as they have harden him in some ways as we will see in the next chapter. And Ingwë is forced to confront the age-old question of the needs of the many outweighing the needs of the few or the one. It's an untenable position for anyone to be put in, but, alas, such is life whether for Elves or Mortals. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it.

Atto, You know, I've always thought that being literally named "Manwe's friend" (well, by Manwe's surname anyway) *Sulimondil* ought to be a better person than this. It seems he isn't even now though. I wonder if Manwe will have a few words for this traitor? And then there's his cousin Valacar, too. I wonder what Ingalaure (and Ingwe) will do to them? I hope no one was seriously hurt, but I have a feeling the Valar interjected here. That was no ordinary storm, for sure. This isn't the same storm the ellyn outran earlier, is it, or have we jumped back again? Interesting...I wonder where that tunnel will lead... Tye-melin tenn' Ambar-metta, Kaylee! Author Reply: Hi Kaylee. Well, Súlimondil may not be as bad as he looks here. Ingoldo isn't above using and abusing his so-called friends for his own purposes. We'll have to see. And yes, this is the same storm those in the Hunt encountered. So we are going back in time a few days to catch up with what is happening with Ingalaurë and Ingoldo. In a couple of more chapters all the different story threads will converge and become one again. And we'll see where the tunnel leads eventually and even why it's there in the first place. Thanks for reading and reviewing. Tye-melin.
