They got Ingwion back, to much relief on their part. Whether Ingwion sees it as a good thing when he wakes up to reality is another story. He has a long road ahead of him. I think Ingalaure will return once Ingwion is reconciled with all that happened and that will take a long time. Much longer since Ingwion does not understand that this is as much about him as about Inagalaure. Author Reply: Yes, they got him back. Whether Ingwion will see it as a good thing or not remains to be seen. And we know that Ingalaurë doesn't return until after Ingwion has reconciled himself to what has happened and let go of his anger. But with the help of a certain Balrog-slayer and a certain former king of Nargothrond, he'll get there. grin Thanks for reading and reviewing, obsidianj. I much appreciate it.

Acceptance of such a loss is very difficult. Poor Ingwion will have to live without his twin for a very long time, but at least they will be reunited when the time is right for it. Author Reply: Very true, Larner, as all of us who have ever lost a loved one knows. But at least Ingwion and his family have the comfort of knowing that Ingalaurë isn't lost to them forever but will eventually return. Thanks for taking the time to read and review. Wow... that Ingwion would be unbalanced and suicidal was expected, but I never thought about him trying to do a Miriel... Poor guy, the real hard part will be when he wakes up for real and has to face this emptiness everyday. Ingwe will probably have him under 'fade-watch' for a while yet. Oh and kudos to Intarion, he knew how to tickle his cousin's nerves just right :) Author Reply: Hi Ninqwestilmen. Ingwion has a hard time ahead of him, reconciling himself to his twin's death. We'll see how Ingwë handles this soon enough, but you're right about having Ingwion put on 'fade-watch'. And Intarion knows his cousin all to well, which is how he was able to push his buttons. grin Thanks for reading and reviewing. I really appreciate it.

my pile of handcherchieves are up. Poor Ingwion. I admire the royal couple how they handle their lost. The hunt for Ingwios fea was very interesting. It never occured to me that "fading" was unknown to them. The discussion among the Valar was priceless. Thank you. Lai Author Reply: Hi Lai. Fading wouldn't be something known to the Elves of Aman at that time; it was a consequence of living in the Mortal Lands, so it became known to those who left Aman for Middle-earth. The only case of fading of which any of them would be aware would be Míriel, but none of them were present at the time so did not witness the process. Hearing about it and seeing it happening are not necessarily the same thing. Glad you enjoyed the discussion among the Valar. Thanks for reading and reviewing. I really appreciate it.

Oh, sniffle time again! Poor Ingwi, he must feel so lost and alone, no matter how much time he and Ingalure were apart they were always there for each other. Ingwi and Elindis seem to be handling this a lot better than I would have thought, but then they have each other and Ingwion and their daughter. Being so much in control is a coping mechnisim(Sorry, can't spell today!) I expect once they have to stop being strong they will all collapse in tears. I am begining to think you have stock in a tissue company, you keep on reducing us to sniffling wrecks. Back to work today, Huggs, Lynda Author Reply: Hi Lynda. Ingwë and Elindis are much older than Ingwion and as High King and Queen they know they can't break down in public. They will have to wait until they are private. We'll be seeing in subsequent chapters how everyone is handling (or not handling) the grief they all feel. Sorry about reducing everyone to sniffling wrecks. So sad, it really made me cry. I remember now that when Glorfindel was missing (EI1) and they had the Hunt, Ingwion was quite scary, something about blooding his hair and he knew and was exiting with the hunt. I will go to reread that passage now, but I remember that I was a little confused about his reaction. Now I understand why he was unstable and was not able to go to the war. Sometimes surviving is the worst fate. He must feel so guilty, because he knew that something will happen and he couldn't stop it. Even the Valars don't understand how deep the twins are bound. I really liked the dynamic between the Valars and the hints of the other tales. One of my favorites is the War of the Valars. Author Reply: Hi Fantasia. Well, Ingwion was involved with the Hunt for his atar, so he knows what's invovled. And of course, we see here how unstable he has become and why. I'm glad you like the dynamics between the Valar and references to other tales. I try to link the stories in some way whenever possible. And I'm glad to know Wars of the Valar is one of your favorites. Thanks for letting mem know. I really appreciate it.

winces Oh, Atto, I'm glad that crisis was averted. Yes, the last thing they need is "another Miriel" and yet, it's a genuine reaction to poor Ingwi's grief. I'm glad they rescued him, though I'm sure Ingwi isn't =( And now I have to wait for Friday to see what Ingwi does next. I also feel very sorry for Namo and Irmo...maybe the air needed to be cleared between those brothers as well on the issue, but then maybe they should also talk with Atar about it. Or with Nienna. Sisters make pretty good confidantes, I've found. At least mine does when she's not being all superior and such, which I don't think Nienna would do (at least, not meaning it) I hope things will take a turn for the better in Friday's chapter...I'll have to wait and see! At least it'll be Wednesday soon!! Tye-melin tenn' Ambar-metta, Atto! I hope your week is going well so far =) Kaylee Author Reply: Hi Kaylee. One crisis averted, but necessarily the last one, not where Ingwion is concerned. I'm sure the tension that the Valar are feeling has caused the two Fëanturi to have their little tete-a-tete. It can't be easy for them either, basically having to do damage control.
