| A good time to beat a hasting retreat, even if the object of their quarrel had been stunned and was reduced to crawling for the moment. At least these two get the appropriate reward for their stupidity--nothing! Author Reply: Well, yes, perhaps that certain Elf realised that fighting on in his condition and ending up providing a dainty snack for the orcs wouldn't be a good idea even to save his pride from bidding a hasty retreat... Glad the orcs came across at least marginally well. It was a pain to write them, because I had never tried it and because of their revulsing mind-frame... (Yikes!) Rey | |
