This is hilarious! I caught just about all the references you've made, and you fit them in so well! But I must say the ending was the best, where Frodo thinks Pippin's drowned, since its original location is so new. Haha, wonderful job! There hasn't been such a humorous fic in a long while!

Ah ha ha ha ha! (cough) I mean, how delightful! First, I am so glad you expanded the story; we all could tell immediately there was a lot more waiting to be written. So clever! And yet you manage to keep our hobbits IC (IN character), even to Frodo's indignation. I read a sentence, then I think of my favorite fics, and when I fasten on the one I think the reference is to, I just laugh. Hysterical piece - and much more waiting to be penned!

Ah, this is so funny to read of all the cliches that occur! Frodo's sick. Of course. Have you ever noticed that in almost every Merry and Pippin story, when they have a fight, Pippin gets sick and Merry feels terrible, ect, ect? Pippin is always some sickly little child, and Merry's a nice cousin but prone to fits of cruelty... Then there's the Sam that cries every time he dissapoints Frodo. Or talks excessivly about gardening. Or uses "If you take my meaning" every other sentence? Then, aside from the exceedingly grumpy Frodo, there's the overly sweet and innocent one. *Gag.* Other than extreme angst, most of your characters avoid these cliches. (Thank Goodnees!) I love this story! I hope that you update soon!

Ooooh, that was sneaky, in chapter 2 -- another way of leaving, indeed! This is marvelous -- OC and OOC -- poor Frodo, *what* are we putting him through now? I gave him a broken ankle a while back (before I broke my own; I didn't know how mean I was being to him). Go climb in "Following the Other Wizard", Frodo, and relax in Goldberry's garden...
