Ah, yes, we all have our prejudices, I fear! I do like to think I don't have any, but I'm sure if I thought hard enough I'd find something, lol. It's only natural to mistrust what we don't understand, at least at first, but it's best to try to understand the unknown rather than disparaging, if we can! I'm so glad Neddy was found!! And how did they enjoy the meal, I wonder? Kaylee Author Reply: Yes, we all do. Sometimes even those of us who think we don't are prejudiced against the prejudiced, if you know what I mean. Well, with the greatest tracker of his time on Neddy's trail, there wasn't any question of his being found-- and I am quite sure they really enjoyed that meal!

“We’ve learned never to turn down a chance at hobbit cooking!” Hehehe, ineed. Good wee story, and with a neat moral. Author Reply: Thanks! I think that's one thing Rangers in Bree would learn quickly!

This is a lovely, sweet story Dreamflower. Thank you for sharing. I am glad that the fox didn't have to fall to the arrow. Author Reply: At first it was going to, but I didn't really want to kill the fox. It seemed just as easy to drive it away, especially once I'd realized it was female!

Well, strange Big Folks with silly names (*grins*) they might be on first sight. But there is at least one hobbit family that knows better now! I liked it that the old gaffer not only changed his opinion but also told Aragorn and Halbarad so. Author Reply: Really, he'd need to say something as he began to realize how unfair he'd been in his judgment! Just proves you *can* teach an old dog new tricks!

I like these sweet stories of Aragorn and hobbits. Neddy was one brave boy and I love how he cuddled up to Aragorn and the man singing to him and not turning down hobbity food. :) Now some hobbits know that Rangers are all right. Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: Indeed they do know now. I do love to write (and read) of Aragorn and hobbits!

Never judge a book by it's cover or other peoples reviews! Lynda Author Reply: *grin* Good thought!

What a nice story. Desperation can force folks to trust in 'friends unlooked-for', and often they're glad they did. I love your hobbit-Ranger interactions. Author Reply: Desperation can force folks to trust in 'friends unlooked-for', and often they're glad they did. Exactly right! I'm glad you enjoyed it; it's always fun to write Rangers with hobbits.

Oh that's a lovely wee tale. And there's a family of hobbits who will be a little less prejudiced against the rangers in future. Author Reply: Thank you! And yes, they will "think more kindly" on Rangers from here on out.
