| Oh, what a lovely dream... vision... whatever it was! But what an ominous awakening for Thorongil. I'm not very comforted by the mouthful of water they gave him. But back to the dream/vision--I love the poem, and I love how the whole experience seemed as real as the sandstorm, and in fact turned back into the harsh reality of the desert as he awakened, and I love Aragorn's revelation that as King he will be not only the people's protector, but Arda's itself. Epiphany in the midst of deadly danger always makes for a good chapter. Now we'll have to see how he manages to survive whatever is coming! Author Reply: Thank you very much! I have written the poem a few aears ago, but it seemed fitting to me to use it in this chapter. At first I didn't know how to make this prompt work in Harad, but in a dream or vision you have a bigger freedom of writing, so I decided to do that =) | |
