| Oh, this is lovely! "Lesser Rings" is one of my favourites among your stories - I always enjoy greatly when you return to Harad for a short visit. It's interesting to see how differently we have built our respective ideas about Harad, and yet one can enjoy fully the other's creation. Author Reply: I liked playing with ancient Egyptian elements when I wrote "Lesser Rings," and am glad I was able to look a bit at Aragorn's trading in this story. And I also enjoy other people's imaginings of these lands that the Master barely touched upon. | |

| Thanks for letting me borrow Hasturnerini for my story, which I need to get back to and finish up. I hope your Blood Work went okay and I sympathise. I was like that w/needles too once upon a time, but close to two years on Dialysis cured me of that fear. My only problem now is my veins were so screwed up by a very powerful drug that was used to save my Transplant when I had a very rare allergic reaction to Cyclosporine (It started clotting the kidney), that they're so full of scar tissue that they now pop rather easily when it's time for me to have an IV. Thankfully, the ones who do that part of my Sedation Dental appts all know about that and make sure they use the baby needles on me, so that doesn't happen and I don't have to go through another poking. Now if only I would be listened to about that when it comes time for me to experience another visit to the OR and not end up on the edge of a major panic attack. :rollseyes: Anyway...Thanks again for letting me borrow Hasturnerini and I promise she'll be returned safe and sound when I'm done w/her. :oD | |

| Speaking of things you mean to post, but don't until after... May I please have permission to "borrow" your OC Haradri slave girl that Arwen rescued in Lesser Ring? I'm at my sister's and can't remember how to even begin to spell that character's name right, but a story came to me about a month and a half ago and she kept insisting that she's a part of it for some odd reason. As a confidante of the young Princesses and the first to know if she'd need to go to Arwen or, in this case, Eowyn for help. So pretty, pretty, pretty please may I borrow her? I promise I'll return her safely back to you and any new stories she is needed for. :o) And on that note...I have a Sedation Dental Appt tomorrow (The joys of Freezing not working on me. :rolleyes: ) and since it's almost 9pm, and I won't allowed to eat after Midnight, I need to go and get a rather late half Snack and half Supper into me. I just had very small Lunch and Supper because I knew I'd have to have a little bit more tonight to keep my blood sugar stable tomorrow morning. Thanks in advance!! Author Reply: Hasturnerini would be honored to appear in one of your stories, Tigger! And I have a blood test to have taken either tomorrow or Friday, and must remember to take my sedative with me, as I am NOT a good patient when it comes to needles of any kind. Good luck! | |

| I love this Larner, but especially the giving of the shawl. Awwww and so well deserved as well. One teeny nit pick though... “And we than you for the lűochi, mistress.” I think there's a letter missing there. I could be wrong of course. ;o) Don't you hate it when you do that? One of the things that drives me nuts when I've gone over something before I post it and only after I post it, do I see I've left a letter out of a word. Aside from that, this is wonderful and a lovely gap filler to Aragorn's time in Harad. Author Reply: Oh, yes, and of course I missed it in the rereading of it, and spellcheck ignored it completely! Will update the other sites as I can--almost time to head out for work, as I work nights. And it pleases me to think that a shawl of wool perhaps spun by Eglantine and crafted by Primula might be worn now by a woman in Far Harad, who's inordinately proud of it! Thanks so. | I enjoyed this peek at Aragorn's travels! Did he ever have the chance to see the children of the smith and his wife during his next visit to Harad? Gimli would have loved discussing metalwork with another skilled craftman! As always, your stories add so much to Middle Earth! Did the shawl inspire someone in the smith's family to visit the northland someday? Perhaps as far as Bree? As always, thank you! :) Author Reply: I enjoyed seeing Aragorn doing some of his trading this time, and am personally tickled to find a shawl of Shire manufacture ended up in Far Harad. Aragorn and his company didn't make it this far during their first journey to Harad, although perhaps Aragorn made it that far in his next trip. I'll hope so, at least! And one never knows--perhaps someone from here might make it to Eriador one day! | |

| recognizing skill equal to that of her husband in bringing beauty to something intended to be serviceable That is what all races share: the appreciation of beauty! You don't necessarily need an artists for creating a beautiful piece of work. With the right intention and skill for the job everyone can do that. Author Reply: I agree.
