What a wonderful little story! Reminds me very much of my current effort to teach my father how to dance. Until now it seems quite hopeless... he's like an elephant. Maybe I should try teaching him sword-steps instead? :) Frodo will have quite a bit of dancing before him, but I'm sure he manages that easily... he seemed quite talented.

That was so cute! Imagine Bell and Hamfast Gamgee trying to teach Bilbo to dance. Not to mention Frodo's analogy of dancing to sword-fighting moves. Brilliant, just brilliant. I'm assuming that Frodo learned to dance amongst his relatievs at Brandy Hall.

That was so sweet, Bilbo going out of his way not embarass Frodo at parties. And Frodo nearly panicking when he learned what was going to be expected of him! Very cute. This was a lovely story, touching and amusing at the same time. And everyone seemed very much in character which is important to. Thanks for sharing this.
