I missed a few updates, it seems, but I'm catching up now. The mystery deepens! I knew it was Thranduil sending the money, I knew it, and I'm glad to see him portrayed in a positive light. Legolas must have had a tremendous influence on him, if he's willing to support Men like this, especially after the cost that Mirkwood paid during the War. They fought off all of Sauron's northern minions on their own, without the help of a Ring or aid from Lothlorien. Go Thranduil! You da man! Elf. Whatever.
Hmm, so it seems that this mysterious knight might be Legolas after all. How strange. Thank goodness there are more chapters to read now! I'm off to see what else transpires. Oh, and I commend you on the dialogue. The writing style might be difficult, but it is a lot of fun to read. Just as long as you don't get hampered by it--the characters should come clearly across as themselves, without worrying too much about medieval grammar. Still, though, I loved the bit about the poult. Marvelous. |

Delightful and mysterious, I was reminded of Sir Walter Scott's 'The Talisman.' You have evoked the medieval flavor excellently. I'm looking foward to more chapters. |

Well, this certainly is intriguing! I usually don't like to read "in progress" stories, but you're really stringing me along here! I agree; I don't think Legolas ever drew attention to himself in the books as exactly *who* he was. Rather exasperating as far as I'm concerned. :) I eagerly await the next chapter ~ Coriel, a fellow Isabelled fanfictioner |
