Ancestress  by Dreamflower 4 Review(s)

The food was varied and delicious; there were soups of clear broths, salads of young vegetables, cheeses, stuffed eggs, and yeasty smelling breads of many shapes and hues and in honor of the hobbit guests, a huge platter of mushrooms, all of it served with a pale golden mead that tasted of heather.

I would say, would you please stop making me hungry, but if you did that you would have to stop writing Hobbits, and we can't have THAT! LOL! Lovely descriptions, as always!

Author Reply: LOL! I don't think I'd be able to stop anyhow; food and hobbits just go together!

Ah, there may be many generations, but genetics have strange habits...

You've made me hungry now!

Author Reply: Thanks! You know how I am with hobbits and food!

Yet Frodo in particular appears to have bred particularly true! Love the details of the meal.

Author Reply: Sorry! My cursor slipped and I responded to the wrong person!

My notion is that Frodo, as a blend of Took, Baggins, Brandybuck and several other strains, is a throwback almost to a pure Fallohide.

Nice to see another chapter here! Yes, light was desperately needed and it came in all sorts of forms.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Yes, it did.
