Author Reply: I think he'll grumble a bit, as he knows that's expected-- but his own little lad has recently had the tradition of faunthood, so I'm guessing he'll be quite understanding for the most part. | |

| What a sweet story! Frodo's gifts were very thoughtfully given. It is indeed a shame not to be able to have pictures of his face after eating those cakes. :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: I couldn't resist putting in that bit about pictures-- it's the sort of moment that nowadays would have the parent pulling out a camera! I have lots of that sort of pictures of my son and my nephews. It's the sort of thing that makes you look forward to the day of bringing out the picture and showing it to prospective girlfriends, LOL! (Or in the case of video, sticking it up on YouTube, *grin*) | |

| A happy, hobbity story, my very favorite kind! I love the duckling on Frodo's plate, and how this is a family visit of such joy for all of them. Wee!Frodo... *happy sigh* Author Reply: Somehow I thought you'd like this one! *grin* I think decorated plates for children must be a Shire tradition. I remembered that Merry's little plate was decorated with ponies, so I thought that Frodo would most definitely have had a special plate as well! I don't often write him quite that wee, but I have once or twice. It's fun to imagine him so little. | |
