Oh this was absolutely adorable and will have me smiling all day. Thank you for such a wonderful story. Loved the characterizations, and Liv (should that be Queen Liv, perhaps!)

That was extremely cute. :D I'm usually hyper-sensitive about Thranduil characterizations, but I thought I would take a chance on this one, and I wasn't disappointed. Great job!

Author Reply: Thank you, I'm glad you approve. :)

This is a lovely story - and perfect for Spring. No surprise that Thranduil likes to keep an eye and a hand on what's happening with his neighbours...

Author Reply: Indeed, I think this is a fitting role for him. Thanks for reviewing.

Oh, Virtuella--it seems that at last your muse has finished speaking to the prompts for this month! How perfect a tale! Olive wears olive green, and so captures the heart of another. And Bard has lost his first wife, apparently, and seeks another as his queen, and finds himself following the recommendations of a fellow-king!

A beautiful tale indeed, and I'm so glad to hear from you!

Author Reply: Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!

Oh, that was lovely! Thranduil as matchmaker - I like it!

Author Reply: Thank you, I thought he might enjoy this. ;-)

Very enjoyable: in fact, a masterpiece. A wonderful example of authorial restraint (though I would have loved to see their conversation and their courtship).

Did you by any chance write a story some years back about the great-grandmother ... maybe a lost child? Or maybe it was a lost elf....

Psst -- looks like the spellcheck has perpetrated a Mischief in the first sentence of the synopsis. The spellcheck's version is intriguing, but doesn't seem to fit in with Tolkien!

Author Reply: No, I never wrote such a story. I do like to imply...

That naughty spellcheck has been duly chastised!
Thanks for reviewing.

What an exquisite, rich, wonderful story. I felt I was reading it from a book of ancient tales, and was sad when it ended. We're left to imagine so many things! And this glimpse of Thranduil, quietly influencing strong families to remain so, and good people to find one another, is a treat.

I do love all the different greens in the world. :)

Author Reply: Yes, I think that would be a fitting role for Thranduil - making sure all is well in the realms of the North. ;-) Thanks for reviewing.
