| This story is such an intriguing idea! I love the visual images you're conjuring. Poor Boromir - I don't know what would be harder; to live but never again be whole among other humans, or to die and go beyond the circles of the world. Author Reply: I can't believe that his struggles won't worsen. How can the Captain-general of Gondor sit with a bunch of Elves as they sing and play? | Wow, what a beautiful chapter!! Daffodils, another favorite -- cardinals serenading Boromir! And Vana of the birds and flowers, wife of the Hunter sending Boromir greetings, wow. Boromir's sorrow at not honoring the Valar more and worrying that they might not love him is so touching, and Gannellas' consolation for him is even more so. I can believe Boromir would be overcome by all this, and then to actually experience the destruction of the Ring is overpowering. I hope he can retain the joy he is feeling so strongly here when he is healed and grows stubborn again at not being able to leave, in spite of his resolve to be strong against that. I sense that Gannellas will be a good friend who will help him in this! I'm glad to see this is an ongoing tale and that there is more to come! \o/ Author Reply: Probably only four to six chapters on this one. But it will be enough, I hope, for the birthday girl. Everything you said in your comments rang true to me. I'm so glad you liked Vana and Orome and such. It seemed only right that Orome would look upon Boromir with some respect and amusement. As for the Ring - Wow. He was almost a Ringbearer. It spoke to him, it seems to me, more powerfully and more hypnotically, than to any others in the Fellowship. It touched him. *shudders* VERY glad you're enjoying this. | |

| I am rather glad that Boromir regrets not succeeding his father. At least they know when the Ring is destroyed--yes, I suspect that was felt pretty much everywhere! Author Reply: Yup - my thoughts exactly, Larner, on the repercussions of the Ring's demise. As for Boromir - it seems unfathomable that Boromir would spent some forty odd years preparing for the Stewardship and not missing it. Not having a wee sense of loss. Though his love for Faramir would overshadow even that loss. Bless you for commenting. I really appreciate it. Can't wait for more of 'your' chapters. | |

Author Reply: Thanks, Shirebound. I don't know if Edhellond was even affected by the black skies of Mordor. No mention is made, but I know they felt, in their fëar, that things were not going well. | Loved the victory celebration at the end, Agape. I can understand Boromir being overwhelmed by the Elves' singing. Looking forward to more. | What a lovely description of the victory celebration in a strange area of Middle Earth. I am enjoying this story thank you. Author Reply: Edhellond isn't mentioned hardly at all. I've often wondered what they were going through during these dark days. Perhaps sheltered from the storm? Who knows. Glad, very glad, you like the description of the celebration.
