I like how you added tension and action in the end. ;) Author Reply: Yeah, people will look at them differently now, it just took a while for the Lorien 6 to get themselves together. | Something tells me that fighting off the spiders is the best therapy these guys could have had... I feel sorry for those in the community encountering such horror for the first time, but hopefully attitudes will change quickly as they begin to realize the true worth of the warriors (brought to them just in time, it seems!) Author Reply: Sometimes the best way to get someone to swim is to throw him into the deep end. Actually the elves of the settlement are used to horrors wandering the woods which is why they don't like the ground that much and live in the trees. They have lost hunters before, too often really. When Gilwen first talks to Haldir she speaks of hunters being lost to them on the hunt. The fact that Haldir and his ellyn fought and won is something that these folks of Celos Galen just don't get to see much and they will express their appreciation soon enough. | Another great chapter. I know the warriors had to grow in steength of character, but this was harsh. How sad to go to sleep hoping to see the sun, and waking up every morning to only starlight. The villagers best show eespect now! Author Reply: The whole experience was harsh, but it really needed to be to snap the guys out of their stupor. This whole thing has been a horrible shock to them on so many different levels. The villagers will show their appreciation soon. Thanks for reading and reviewing! | |

| This is a fun chapter watching our intrepid heroes try to keep up with the Galadhrim hunters and having to put up with a lot of abuse and then they show their worth in sensing the evil of the spiders and destroying them. Now the hunters are suitably impressed. I would love to have been there to see their expressions. *grin* Author Reply: This is one of my favorite chapters as well. | How right you are, I think, to make them unfit and not at all impressive when they first start to practice and to hunt. But neatly done to show how their instincts kick in to benefit the whole group too. Author Reply: Thank you very much! The warriors were wrong-footed in so many ways, they woudl have needed tiem to adjust physically emotionally adn spiritually and even then they just couldn't get it right as they found out - until instinct kicked in. The hunters also needed to learn a lesson as well, which I think they just did. Thanks for reading and reviewing! | |
