As a devoted reader of Fiondel's stories, I noticed that you were one of his proof readers so I decided to read one of your stories which I am doing. I am very much enjoying this tale even though I am still angry with PJ for taking the elves to Helm's Deep and getting so many of them, including Haldir, killed.

Author Reply: I am glad you are giving my story a read. I did not like PJ killing the elves at HD either, so I did something about it! LOL I hope you continue to enjoy the story.

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

“Could…could we be influencing the future of the Galadhrim by imparting our knowledge to them such…such that it changes the time from which we come?”

Good thinking Rumil - although it might be that you are in a logic loop, and only because you went back to teach them did they learn things so that someone was then able to teach you when you were an elfling...

Author Reply: It is true that it could be an infinite loop of cause and effect, but they really can't know waht thigns they caused to happen and what things would have come about anyway. It could cause one to second guess himself though...

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Oh, the last words sound so sad! :(

Author Reply: The last words do sound sad and that pall does hang over them always it seems, yet there is good to come as well as they certainly do deserve.

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Definitely thoughts to ponder at the time. Changing the past could indeed cause unlooked for changes to many threads leading to the future. But they have done what they are trained to do, after all.

Author Reply: They have done what they are trained to do and what they were asked to do so they are in a difficult position. Even if they had thought of it all sooner, I don't know that it would have changed their behavior.

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

As peculiar as it might sound, I find I am having difficulties leaving comments as this story progresses. I've tried to figure out why and have come to this conclusion.

I feel like I'm reading Tolkien. The longer the tale goes, the more I am reminded of the tales of the horrors when Feanor and those who followed him from Valinor came to Beleriand and died amidstnpain and betrayal and courage.

The tales of the Elves has always been a tragedy, to me. I weep and suffer at their struggle. This is a difficult tale, emotionally, to read.

Bravo in the midst of my sorrowing.

Author Reply: I am honored that you feel as if you are reading something that Tolkien himself might have written when you are reading this story. The tales of the Elves are indeed full of tragedy and pathos and it is sometimes as difficult to write about them as it is to read about them. However, in Tolkien there is also ever a striving for what joy may be had among the elves, and the things in which they find joy are sometimes surprising.

Thank you for your comments, Agape. They are very much appreciated.
