Oh I love this. The clashing of the two cultures was rich! Nicely done! Author Reply: lol! Poor Haldir was sure he had thins all figured out. WRONG! Thank you for appreciating the clash of cultures. It is amazing how simple things can be and how very complex society (even elven society) tends to make them over time. Thanks for reading and reviewing!

He-he, very interesting and funny misunderstandings. :) I just wish that there had been more about how Haldir and Gilwen fell in love. It would've been much more interesting to see how their relationship had developed, instead of just reading at some point of the story that they were together now. Looking forward for more! :) Author Reply: There are hints and passages throughout about their relationship growing. It isn't the romance novel that my Crossroads of Time is though. I felt that the way the story was progressing, going more in-depth on the relationship didn't quite work for some reason. This story has been a tough nut to crack all around and has been at least 5 years in the making so far. I'm glad that you are looking forward to more!

Oh, I LOVE this! About time he made it official! Silly Elf! Author Reply: Aren't cultural differences fun? Especialy those one doesn't expect to encounter. It is so much fun wrong-footing Haldir. LOL!

Life without tables isn't to be contemplated! We have already begun work on the maps. Haldir and I have attempted one of all of Beleriand based on what we could remember from a map we saw in a book in Elrond’s library a few ennin ago. -- This actually makes me glad I don't know any elves.... So there Haldir was, in a blue funk, having pilfered all the Lórien elves' arrows ... most of said arrows stuck in targets quite a ways away from him -- I actually expected the next scene would be an orc attack on the village. A good thing Damrod had this conversation. Otherwise Haldir'd still be practicing his target-shooting.... Author Reply: Yeah, I have a hard time thinking about what I would do with no tables in my house. It would have been terribly funny to have an orc attack once all of his arrows were used up. However, the assault which assailed Haldir was one he found more horrifying, I'm sure. Sometimes leading a horse to water isn't enough, and he has to have the liquid poured down his throat to make him understand he is supposed to drink it. Poor bewildered Haldir!
