Ah: more elves! I'm betting they're Doriathrim. Then again ... well, I've forgotten too much about languages to guess (with any pretension to intelligence) who else they might be. And I've forgotten too much of the history of that period to have any idea how I'd want to structure the plot.... But I do expect them to end up in Doriath at some point. And when they do, I'm looking forward to Melian's reaction. Author Reply: You'll have to wait and see who the new elves are and whether anyone actually ever gets to go to Doraith. Tolkien said very very little in the way of history for Middle-earth before the Noldor returned, so there is lots of room for creativity and for confusion. There also are precious few "experts" in the fanfic world on the peoples and languages of the elves who stayed behind. Daeron did try to help out with his Cirth, but when everyone lives forever and remembers everything, then why write it down so that distantly future generations can understnad what was going on in the Night before nights? A wise thing to hope for, all things considered. No. becoming pregnant during such a journey would not be the wisest course. Author Reply: Pregnancy during a long journey definitely would not be a good idea. LOL! Haldir will have an interesting time when he meets up with these new elves.
