Quite delightful! I only noticed one mishap. When Aragorn is telling the hobbits they should learn something better than rock throwing but that 'he, Legolas, Gimli, Boromir and Gandalf with take care of them' - this story gave all other impression up until then, of taking place before the meeting. Where /does/ this story take place within the timeline?

I read this straight through and loved every word. You still have he magic touch. Thank you for reminding me why I love LOTR fanfiction. This was a gem!

Great story! I've just finished re-reading it from the beginning on. The part I liked best was when Frodo finally managed to open the glass jar after it had been damaged just enough to do so. I'm quite sure, though, that without Gandalf's diplomatic skills it would not have been so easy for Aragorn and Frodo to make up with each other.

Oh, it's over! Rats! I'm afraid I'm more than a little angry with you about the fate of the beautiful green suit. I have always loved your scenes where Frodo asserts his -- considerable -- authority over the younger hobbits. It's a side only rarely shown by other fic writers. Hobbit piņatas! Yes: they would love piņatas! Forget toys: make all the filling edible.... That jar of pipeweed: I had forgotten all about it. More Frodo, please!

Aha! Well done, Frodo! Well done, all of them, in fact. And now at last Frodo has the pipeweed, although glueing the lid to the top of the jar still seems a bit overdone. It was well worth waiting for, I think. Reread the whole thing and giggles happily!

*grin* What a spectacular and hilarious ending to a fun story! Trust Gandalf to get to the heart of the matter--and to get both parties to agree where each had been in the wrong. Hmmm...perhaps we should make a certain Istar the Speaker of the House? *fondly imagines things actually getting done* But the most howlingly funny moment was when Pippin realized he was stuck to the chair! OMG, Budgie, that was brilliant and completely unexpected! LOLOL! Thank you, dear, for such a fun story! I've missed seeing new stories from you--though I frequently re-read your others!
