Lovely. Just lovely. It was so interesting to see Aragorn's thoughts as he made his way to the Houses of Healing to heal Faramir. I love how your voice is so similar to Tolkien's. The transition from your fiction to the insertion of direct quotes from the novels is so seamless. I stay engrossed in your stories until the very end. Thank-you for another fabulous story! Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review and very kind words.I'm delighted you enjoyed this story. I'm honoured you find my writing similiar to Tolkien's.

Every time I read a story with this scene I am reminded how sad it was that Jackson did not reveal the filmed scene and that Tolkien never wrote it. Perhaps the Professor did not wish to poke too closely into the Christian elements of his story (and his own faith) and I can understand that as, by the Return, it was getting a bit thick. haha But this is a very pivotal park of the king's return for, if Faramir had not acknowledged him, he would have had an uphill battle, not to mention how much more difficult settling in as king would have been without someone with Faramir's experience and training. Personally, I never tire of this story, any more than you do. Thank you Linda! Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I am always sad we never saw the scene in the films. I do find this scene has some very religious undertones. Aragorn would have had a near impossible task to become king if Faramir had denied his claim. I'm pleased you never tire of this story either!

Very nice! You know I have a fondness for this scene! I like the way you write Aragorn's approach to the situation, the way the unknown Faramir is both a living reminder of Aragorn's past connection to the House of the Stewards and a potential obstacle to Aragorn's future kingship and marriage. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm delighted you enjoyed this story. There is a lot of history between Aragorn and the Stewards and more to be made!

Greatly enjoyed this take on Faramir's healing. I hadn't really thought about the possibility of Aragorn waging an inner war with himself over the temptation to let this last son of Denethor die to clear his own path to the throne, but it makes sense that such dark thoughts might come to his mind in those dark days. That he swiftly put down the temptation is very in character for him. Well done! Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm delighted that you enjoyed my story and felt Aragorn was in character. It has always struck me that Faramir could so easily have been Aragorn's rival. I once read a clever AU on the subject.

A wonderful visit into that shadowed realm. I so rejoice that he was able to draw Faramir out of it! Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm delighted that you enjoyed my story I'm glad too that Aragorn saved Faramir!

What a beautiful story. His healing abilities would be better employed in trying to save Merry and Lady Éowyn, not the one man who stood between him and the throne of Gondor. Aragorn was tested in so many ways, some of them quite subtle. I hadn't thought about this one before! Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you enjoyed my story.I often wonder if Aragorn thought he was dealing with a younger version of Denethor!

Lovely gapfiller! I've always wondered what was happening when Aragorn called Faramir's name, ever fainter (if I'm remembering right); what kind of battle was being waged...? You fill in the details very vividly. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm so pleased that you enjoyed this.I always feel the text implies that what Aragorn was doing held dangers for him.
