| I am often glad that this site lets us post more than one review per chapter. I had forgotten to add that I very much like your inclusion of a living mother for Lotheriel. Tolkien's stories are full of grieving widowers and dead mothers. I suppose he grieved his whole life for his own mother. But surely some of them lived to grow old in peace! And your Mrs. Imrahil and her daughter are doing just the kinds of things I would expect them to do after such a war. Very nice! Author Reply: I like to try and devise a different Lothy each time. | Oh, yea! Another Lady Bluejay E/L story. I believe that you and Lialutherveril have the greatest variety of different versions of how those two might have met and courted. Both of your stories are some of my favorite Middle Earth "drugs of choice"! Back in the Sixties and Seventies when I was a girl,my mother read a lot of "Romance Novels". A lot of what Harlequin Books printed then, a lot of Barbara Cartland and Georgette Heyer. Mostly a LOT less graphic than what is on the book-stands now, PG 13 rated, really compared to now. One of my favorite formula stories involved variations on this; a plucky, bright young woman takes a job as; a governess to a gloomy young widower in a remote estate; or, a personal assistant to a domineering but brilliant corporate captain; you get the picture. The employer is insufferably blunt, rude, bossy, etc. They have a few volcanic, very entertaining confrontations, after which he grudgingly begins to respect, then finally love her. This tale reminds me of my favorites of my mother's "Harle Q's". I will particularly be following how you develop Eowyn. Is she really cold and rude, or merely hurting and proud? | |

| Hmm, that encounter didn't go so well. Let's see how this will progress. I love the way you set the scenery and the mood for this story. I never thought about where all the horses would end up after the battle. A discussion about 'horse-dung' in the streets? LOL. Author Reply: I have always had a bit of a thing about how they dealt with the horses. They would have needed to feed thousands of horses and thousands of men. Tolkien sometimes missed the practicalities. LBJ | |

| This appears to be as great a story as many of your others. I really like your different take on what was happening between Cornallen and the coronation. So many changes had to be happening. Thanks. Author Reply: Yes, I have always wondered about the practicalities of installing a new king and dealing with the huge amount of Rohirrim in the city.
