Ahh, such a heartwarming scene between the brothers. You capture their different personalities really well. Boromir always concerned with safety and the here and now and Faramir upholding the old customs, which are also for safety, but in a more indirect way.

I love how Boromir's stories really must begin with fortifications and loyal men about him and caution and scouts and defenses. These things are intrinsic Boromir, Captain of the White Tower. It is only fitting that time be given, at the beginning, to what drives Boromir forward. Taking care of his men and his land. And Faramir comes with a smile and protection. How delightful he seems. Good customs that a lore-master such as he would be prone to keep. I love this moment, but dark thoughts of Boromir's last 'first day' come to mind. Might I ask for a tale of that day? Was he not in the company of the Fellowship? Perhaps in Hollin?
