| How could I miss this chapter? Somehow, it must have escaped my eyes ;-) Frodo could see the pain in the wizard's eyes. In a few decades more or less, he'd be reunited with Bilbo. It would be a lot longer for Gandalf. Under certain circumstances it is indeed a comfort to know that lifetime is limited (for mortals). Not so for Gandalf!
