I don't know which I hope more to happen ... for the elf to return Pippin to Elrond before meeting the others so that Pippin can receive the medical attention he needs ... or ... for the others to catch up with the elf so that they will no longer worry as much about Pippin. Legolas' idea for speeding the chase was quite clever. Summon Elrond's horses. I liked that! The reference Merry made to a horse being set free as a reward for her service, is that from a previous story? I would like to read it if you give me its name. Another fine chapter, Budgielover. I'm looking forward to seeing which reunion you choose. (It'll probably be one I'm not expecting at all.) LKK Author Reply: Hi, LKK! Thank you for the review of my latest chapter of "Recovery in Rivendell." I always appreciate it when someone takes the time to let me know they enjoy my work. It makes it worth it. (And it's so much fun to tease people and say - "no spoilers!") To answer your question on the reference of Elrond setting the mare free, that came from somewhere around chapter 32 or so of this story. On FanFiction.Net, where I also post, I have split this story into two halves, because it kept growing so as to be unmanageable. But on SOA I combined it and think I like it better that way. Anyway, you will find that event taking place somewhere around chapter 32 - it might be one or two chapters in either direction. Thanks again, Gayle/Budgielover

Progress seems to be being made here. The Elves are doing what they can (and I tend to have lots of faith in Elves) and the walking party should have increased hope because of what they found. We'll see what Elrond can do.

The combined tracking skills of Aragorn and Legolas are not to be underestimated, and Aragorn sure has a trick or two up his sleeve (I love the idea of summoning the aid of retired horses with a bit of candy). I only hope that you will show mercy when it comes to Pippin's health. At least he is heading back to Lord Elrond's care.

Eek! Maybe it will be Inmara will come and ease Merry's heart a little! I'm so glad that the elves decided to oen of them go back with Pippin, hopefully you aren't going to go so far AU as to let Pippin loose his sight! Oh, dear. I'm anxiously awaiting more, you write some of the funnest stories on here and I can look forward to them being long! Thank you!!

Wonderful! You converge the threads neatly, and yet they have not met. An old friend might come? The mare (I forget her name), what fun! A small grammatical error, one I often make myself. You have a "who's" where you ought to have a "whose" ("who's" means Who is, while "whose" means belonging to whom)
