| Hey, there! What a lovely surprise it was to find you posting a new Hobbit story! I popped over here to check on something and found this story. I think this is off to a great start. I liked the letters that were left behind for Pippin. His Father's was perfect, short and to the point. lol Looking forward to more, so I'm off to read the next chapter! Author Reply: Yay!!!! | Oh how neat to see something new from you, dear! This looks very exciting, and I will enjoy seeing how your Pippin fits into his Thainship! Author Reply: Thanks, Dreamflower. I'm glad to be back writing again. I've got about three or four chapters of this story written and the first couple of chapters on the the last of the Pippin and Diamond and their attempt to have children trilogy done. I'm hoping to be able to keep at it till both are done soon. I'm hoping that the stories live up to everyones' hopes. | |

And that's all any of us can do. This is a very moving look at Pippin's first day as Thain. His loving family, and all that he's learned in his travels, will help him get through anything. | Lovely! Have been out of town all week and came home to this hobbity story, such a treat! I love the details, like the description of the sky in the beginning, the old Thain's letter to his son (hah, very practical, even at the end), Regi's note of support, and the little scene between Pippin and Diamond at the end. I already love the way you've painted their relationship, in just this brief glimpse. Looking forward to day 2! and 3, and 4... Author Reply: Thanks so much for the encouraging review. I have to confess that when I read that opening scene a few months ago, I had to ask myself if I really wrote that. :) My descriptions aren't usually that good. This has been a fun story to write so far and when I get the inspiration, it has practically written itself. Hope the rest can live up to expectations. | |
