Thranduil's transformation, doubts and reaction to killing of Elves is brilliantly written. What happened to survivors later? Were they found by other scouts? Author Reply: Don't worry, I intend to finish this one, too! It's hardly started. Thanks for all your great reviews! :)

Shot through the eye. What an image... Poor Thranduil. Poor scout, even. Actually, this story is full of vivid imagery, and as usual your Thranduil is captivating. Have I mentioned that I'm glad you're writing again? Author Reply: Thank you for this review! So sorry it took me TWO YEARS to say so, but real life ran me over right about that time, and I only just found it again!

I loved every syllable of your update and hope to see another soon!!!! Author Reply: Thank you! I am blessed with an extraordinarily loyal readership. I'm reorganizing my life to make more room for writing, so hopefully there are updates coming. :)

Glad to see this continued. You portray the suffering, both of the Sindar in general and Thranduil over being forced to kill an elf, very well. I hope you continue this! Author Reply: So glad you enjoyed it! :)

"In a few moments they would begin to slip silently into the night, and the snow would conceal any sign that they had been there at all." My heart grieves for the Sindar, so tired so cold. How long til they find a safe (and warm) refuge? I'm glad you are back, Conquistadora. Your picture of Thranduil's brief struggle with the decision to kill the scout shows the unwanted struggle with the fruits of evil. Even the good get sucked in and are forced to terrible deeds. What a horror the Kinslaying was! Author Reply: Thanks! I'm trying to make more time to write these days.
