good work; I was quite impressed with the whole story, and would be interested in reading the sequel, should it ever be written.

Hi Erin, I don't have time to read your story yet, but it looks very intriguing. However, I thought you might like to know about the typo I spotted in your story description: "guilded" should be "gilded", assuming you mean overlaid with gold. Hope to check back with some useful feedback, but probably not until next week. - Barbara

Erin, What a lovely piece of writing. I love getting inside someone's head and you have done an expert job of capturing Eowyn's thoughts, emotions, fears and even the tiny lights of hope mingled in her despair. I felt her frustration with the societal constraints of her culture and her desire for a freedom she feels denied. While I don't think she understands what true freedom is all about, yet, I think she will find it when she recognizes that there are different types of freedom and only she can grant it to herself. I think Legolas tried to tell her that and it seems as if she understood part of what he was saying, but has, yet, to grasp the full measure of his words. You dealt well with the delicate portions of your stories. You drew a very vivid image of orc reproduction and Grima's intrusion into her dreams without sacrificing your voice, your characters' voices or turning your descriptions into gratuitous voyeurism. You handled it well. The scenes with Gimli were wonderful. You have a talent and I feel priviledged that you shared it with us. I look forward to the next chapter. Karen
