Busted, Aragorn! Legolas sure has gummed up the works, though. I love that bit about boys not growing wiser, only taller. Reminds me of something my dad says: "The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys." ;) I can see how Thranduil might be a little put out if anything happened to his *rather wayward* son now. Can't wait for him to show up! Author Reply: Thanks as always for your reviews! It's encouraging to get such positive feedback. I'm "lapping" my beta, Delilah, as she's somewhat busy right now, so I may have to go in and "fix" chapters that have already been uploaded as she makes corrections. I'll try to keep up the production, at least. My inspiration for boys growing taller and not wiser was my brother. Not that he gave me the quote; rather he was the impetus behind it! | |

So the decision is made. I'm so looking forward to Aragorn's conversation with Legolas--and an explanation for all that armour. Well done, and here's to more soon! Aragorn may not see reason, but he is surely outvoted. I am relieved that Legolas is not repelled from the tournament (it would be quite boring without him, as a matter of fact). Though the motives of the various counsellors to cast their votes as they did were as much fun to read as was Aragorn's embarrassement as the true identity of 'Telcontar of Gondor' was revealed;-) Author Reply: I'm glad you liked the "council", Fliewatuet! I'm trying to make this as fun to read as it is to write (though chances are I'm failing miserably -- I am SO enjoying myself). Thanks as always for your reviews!
