So, she thinks her "Lass" may perhaps be one of Prince Legolass's captains from Ithilien. She is right, though. There is something about those trained to command that shines through even when they are "at rest". I have yet to meet a retired military officer who did not still have the authoritative bearing, and the respectful, precise way of addressing others. So, he would rest for her benefit, but not for his own. May I say, "typical stubborn male"? Author Reply: Yes, she's slowly figuring him out, but wouldn't dare suppose he's Prince Legolas himself. That thought just wouldn't be plausible to her, mainly because she doesn't know Legolas! :) And yes, stubborn to a fault, Gimli would say. ;) Thanks for reading! I really enjoy your reviews! :) | |

So, she's refusing to admit fully what her heart tells her of his identity. But she is right in knowing he will not willingly abandon her. Author Reply: I'm not sure she's really pieced it together yet. She knows he's someone of rank but she's not even considered he might be the son of the Elvenking. Son of a Lord, perhaps. But even in the midst of adversity, she's pretty good at puzzling out riddles. :) And no, he would never willingly abandon her. He would die first. Not that she would understand that either.
