| Twig eats raw meat? Ewwwwww! Gross. Author Reply: Well, Twig might, but Estella certainly hasn't, up to this point, so far as I know. I wonder if gentlehobbits, at least, would be familiar with Steak Tartare? (My parents used to serve that on special occasions, and it was actually delicious. Highest quality meat you could get, finely ground, mixed with raw egg and spices, spread on good bread and topped with chopped onion. Yum.) I suspect hobbits would prefer their meat well-cooked, though... Thanks! | |

| Glad that Ferdi was able to find the comfrey and shelter. Hopefully they will be able to get to relative safety before any ruffians show up. Loved the banter between 'Twig' and Ferdi. The laughter helps them keep on the bright side and not to stress over much. She plays 'Twig' very well now. The next 3 months are looking like I will continue to have very limited computer access. I suppose it will help me to look forward to the next installments even more when I do get a chance to read them. Author Reply: Well, I certainly look forward to hearing from you when you get the chance! I love that JRRT said hobbits were more likely to talk lightly over heavy matters (or something to that effect). It's a kind of bravery that they wouldn't claim to be bravery at all, but just the way things are. (Have I mentioned how I love hobbits?) Thanks! | |

| I rejoice that they have this time of peace for sufficient recovery to move on safely. At least Ferdi is sufficiently wood-wise to see the swelling reduced at least a bit. Author Reply: It was diverting to research herbal remedies for sprains... so glad Ferdi knows his stuff! Thanks! | |

| Glad to see an update to this. I'm hoping Estella hasn't broken her ankle in that fall. They can't afford a setback in their journey. Glad Ferdi was able to find the comfrey leaves. Looking forward to all updates whenever you can make them. Author Reply: Thanks. We are in the throes of selling our house and finding a new one, so if I happen to cross your mind on occasion, please pray for my anxiety level... I hate change, and I especially despise uncertainty. | |
