I think Sam should take this as a promise, a promise from Ulmo himself that the road is free for him to take whenever he wants to. But he also made a promise to Frodo and is determined to fulfil it. It will not be easy to wait, but it will be worth it! Author Reply: I so agree, Andrea. Sam will live as fully as he can while he can, and bring those memories to share with Frodo when he is free to answer that call. | |
