Absolutely beautiful. Perfect ending. I, too, have long pondered that phrase about "came there never again as a living man..." This fits perfectly. Author Reply: Thank you so much. I'm so pleased you liked this. I've pondered about that phrase too.

Oh, yes--they are finally properly reunited, and they look not on pain and grief but instead on even fuller joy. Lovely! Author Reply: Thank you so much. I love to think of them enjoying eternal happiness.

Oh Linda, this is BEAUTIFUL. I have chills all over me. Thank you for this absolutely lovely image. I've often been intrigued by the sentence in LOTR, "And taking Frodo's hand in his, he left the hill of Cerin Amroth and came there never again as living man." Not as living man, but surely to meet Arwen there once again. Author Reply: Thank you so much. I'm thrilled you enjoyed this so much. I find the wording intriguing too and feel that it means Aragorn returns in spirit.
