| I read another fanfiction story in which Hal's sighting of a tree turned out to be a possible Ent-wife; it was written by SlightlyTookish. That would be a happy ending for the Ents, if the Ent-wives all turned out to be in the Shire! Author Reply: I've seen a few--I'll have to check and see if I've read that one before. | Yeah, some else who thinks Hal's moving tree had something to think with the Entwives! I recall when reading LOTR for the first time, I kept hoping we would find out something about them residing somewhere near the Shire. Author Reply: Well, I certainly think that it may have been one. That's just one of the loose ends I think JRRT left on purpose (so "other hands and minds" could play with them!) ;^D | |
