| bryn This was another good chapter....actually all the newly posted ones are. I'm condensing into just this one so I won't bore you too badly. You have continued to keep your characters moving...and thus the story...and remain true to the conflict. There is humor and good dialogue. I loved the scenes between Gimli and Legolas. "Death of elf by axe"! Loved it! Bergil is such a fun fellow...reminds me of Halbarad from Aragorn's memories. I guess Bergil kind of reminds Aragorn of his old friend, too. It was a sad moment for Aragorn to recall Halbarad and sense his loss. The set up of the pirates and their allies was quite good. We're seeing everything sort of begin to gel....taking us along to the next chapter. Your pace is good and the flow is smooth. I'm looking forward to reading more. Karen | |

| I think I've reviewed this chapter before, on ff.net, but I'm a writer, so I know how important reviews are. Legolas' unease and embarrassment was wonderfully written when Gimli revealed his desires. And Legolas' repeated excuse 'but Ris had a beard' was marvellous! I like this story, and hope you will post all of it here soon. I can no longer review on ff.net, so only review here or by e-mail. An update would be greatly appreciated! Jay | |
