| bryn, Bergil is back. Batty is having a cryptic moment and Aragorn is scratching his head over why in all of Arda would Gimli leave his axe behind. I loved Aragorn's reply to Bergil when Bergil voiced his hope that the woman would ride the horse off a cliff. “Nay—the horse is too smart.” I agree with Bergil; that is a bit of the old Aragorn. I have not quite gotten a handle on Hadeem yet. He's mysterious to some degree, but I can't tell which side his bread is buttered on. I wish Eowyn had a better translator, too. Little mistakes..like calling one's prize stallion a cow... can really disrupt negotiations. Men are so funny about stuff like that. You could probably call his wife...or wives, maybe, in his case...a sway-backed bovine fly catcher and that would be fine, but his horse! Oh, what dangerous ground we tread. This is moving along well. You're juggling a lot of characters and keeping them in the fray. I'm ready now for the next chapter. :>)Karen | |
