Hmm, the gates of Annuminas remind me of the gates of Gondolin. Have you read Unfinished Tales? It especially reminds me of the description of the gates that Tolkien gives as Tuor is led up the Hidden Way into the city. Only Gondolin had seven gates, and Annuminas only had five. Did you intend this as a nod toward Tolkien (on your part) and a nod toward the First Age (on the Elven craftsman part), or did it just happen that way?
