Wow this is a good chapter! I hope that we see more of Marla, too! I loved her character, though I suppose the has made her final appears! Great job, I love the story and the original plot! Author Reply: At the moment, I don't plan for Marla or Dacy to appear again. But I can tell you that Marla had a healthy baby boy, and called him Bereth. And perhaps I will write about Dacy and her brother at some time? Who knows? Jay

You horrible nasty person you! We all know Elrohir is fine (for now, at least) but of course Elrond and Celebrian don't. Author Reply: I'm not horrible! I just like writing angst. And I thought it was time we saw what Elrond and Celebrian were thinking. Jay

WOOHOOO!!! Jay has updated!! :: throws private party then realises she is at work with strange people staring::: A truely moving chapter that shows Elrond and Celebrian as the people they really are, caring parents moved to the point of distraction at the probable loss of not only one, but both of their sons. But of course we DO need to know what is up with dear Elladan!! More Please :) Jules AKa Yunadax Author Reply: I'm a little late responding to reviews - sorry! I'm glad that so many people liked this chapter - I wanted to show Elrond and Celebrian as caring parents firstly, and only secondly as Lord and Lady of Imladris. Jay

Ajy, I've been reading this since the beginning but have not reviewed until now. I apologize for my tardiness. I have truly enjoyed your story. It's exciting, full of adventure, action and deep emotion. This last chapter was so heartfelt. Poor Elrond and Celebrian. I suppose our children never grow too old for us to wear grooves in the floor with our pacing and worry. They have good reason to be concerned. And poor Bereth's family. What horrible news. I've always like the Elven custom of singing laments for the fallen. I felt sad along with Elrond and Celebrian as they listened and worried for their own son. In the last chapter I loved the bedtime story and Legolas's reaction to it....not exactly how he remembered it! Very good, Jay...the whole thing! I'm looking forward to the next chapter.....and getting these three young elves home. :>)Karen Author Reply: Thanks for reviewing! I'm so glad you're enjoying the story. While Elrond and Celebrian will have a happy reunion eventually, I wanted to show the effect on those who do get bad news. The three will get home in the end, but there will be more angst bothe before and after that. Stay tuned! Jay

Jay- first, would you do me a favor and delete the garbled review I just sent? then, I really enjoyed this chapter, although "enjoyed" is perhaps the wrong word. The anguish of the people at home is heartbreaking. You have done an excellent job with the pain of the parents and then the mourning of the whole community. Author Reply: First: already done! then: I know what you mean. To say I 'enjoyed' writing this chapter sounds odd (but I did!) As I said before, I decided to give the twins a break, and concentrate on Elrond and Celebrian instead. Jay

Jay! I just pounded my computer screen! Send Glorfindel! They need to send aid to the twins. Elrond's and Celebrian's reactions are just heartbreaking. Not knowing the fate of their own son, but knowing his companion is dead can only lead them to think the worst. Yes, send for Arwen, but send out reinforcements! *nudges Jay* Come on, you know you want to. Yes, I know, I am an obnoxious reader. *grin* Author Reply: No, not obnoxious at all! (No one who reviews is) I decided to give the twins a break, and concentrate on what their parents were feeling instead. I'll think about sending reinforcements - but with what I've got in mind, Glorfindel won't be able to do much! Jay
