What a surprise; the perspective from the other side! Such dreadfully uneven odds between these two Elves; the one a skilled warrior, the other an untried youth, and the difference in motives and reactions to the death of another and of self. This tale is well deserving of an award and would have my vote as well. It is also enjoyable to read aloud. My husband was the hearer and I found him highly attentive to the story as it unfolded. Thank you again for a quality and well thought out insight into this brutal event.

That really is a real and emotional view on war and death. The character's have such interaction between each other in such a short amount of time. so much is said and left unsaid, it keeps the reader enthralled in the violence and dire emotion of it all. It's very well written. You definitely deserved to win that award.

Ai! This was a very moving story. Congrats for it winning a Mithral Award, and it does deserve it. Out of all the sons of Feanor, Amrod and Amros are my favorites, so it is compelling to read fiction on them.

I completely understand why this story won a Mithril award! Very, very moving. The switch to the other character in chapter two was unexpected, but a nice surprise. The writing is excellent!
