Oh not a happy beginning. Poor Queen dead and her just born child gone along with two young maidens and the Queen's best friend. There is always hope.
OOH!! Even elves like to go shopping. I like this. Do you think elves would like malls?
The King loved his Queen so much and now he will be alone. That is so sad. They had six children with a seventh on the way. Wow. Was it Feanor who had seven children? Most of the time elves had only one or two. Mirkwood elves have quite a reputation. Could this be one of the reasons? Narawen sounds like a wonderful elf. I feel so sorry for the King to lose her.
It was cute that her horse was indignant that she wouldn't take him/her but sit in a cart instead. And then when she suggest he could pull the cart s/he was insulted to even be asked. I really like it when elven horses are given personalities since the elves can talk to their horses and understand what the horse wants in return.
Such a happy family you have presented. This will be very angsty and full of loss I can tell.
