Being introduced to the monument of the hobbits and their deeds by Aragorn himself is a rare treat indeed. And that those lords who were ignorant of the needs of their people had to pay for the charity meals is perfect justice.

Interesting chapter. One wonders if the lords who think a bit too highly of themselves ever would conspire against Aragorn for his punishments for their hedonism. thanks for an interesting chapter, looking forward to the next installment.

This is so enjoyable to read, and I appreciate your attention to detail in things like the times the housekeeper lights the boilers. I particularly liked the idea of Arwen endowing a house of rest -- it seems a fitting tribute to Elrond and Rivendell. At the same time, it's hard to escape the thought that this is a highly idealized picture of life under Elessar.

You made me feel as if I were in Minas Tirith. Poor Andreth to lose her children to a fever.

Larner, I always enjoy your stories. There are many I have read repeatedly. I was thrilled with a story of Minas Anor early in Aragorn's reign. Thank you so much

Andred is certainly fortunate to have met the King and Queen! One question. Aragorn referred to Pippin by his full legal name as well as his nickname, but he referred to the other three hobbits only by their nicknames. Is it because Pippin was a Guard of the Citadel?

It is great to see the monument through different eyes and hear the King's loving recitation of their deeds. And Ruvemir is going to appear? Hooray! I think he is my favourite of your OC characters. You appear to be getting me back into the habit of reviewing so thank you for that too. Also, many thanks for your email and prayers.
