Wow! Galadriel's memory of the death of the trees brings the event to life in a new way. And after relating such a story, she still gave comfort to Frodo in thanks for the part he played in allowing her to be restored to her homeland.

I often watched them with feelings of envy, wishing I could know such intimacy as they were able to share and yet retain my own individuality as they did. That was a beautiful gap filler! I especially liked the dance of the Lights. Author Reply: I've always imagined that, unclad, the Maiar would rejoice to dance in the Light and Breath of this world. And I cannot imagine that it would have been easy for Galadriel to think of losing her individuality. Thanks so!

I am glad Frodo knew some relief from his pain through the Lady's touch. :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: And I am certain that in reaching Tol Eressea in her company gave him even more joy. Thanks so, Antane!

Such beautiful images are in this story. How wonderful the Trees must have been! Author Reply: Thanks so, Linda. Indeed they must have been beautiful. And love to the fur-children!

*sigh* Oh, but that was lovely. (and yes, such a joyful small bundle of fur... simply adorable) Thank you! *hugs* Author Reply: I am so glad you enjoyed the gift. Love to you always! And Tilion sends his love. He'll be visiting with his brother and sister in their new home soon. Love to the girls and hubby!

It was one thing we did not see when we visited your land last winter. This is a marvelous gap filler, and very creative idea. What a very special conversation. I hope, when Frodo comes to the Undying Lands, Galadriel spends time with him, telling him even more tales that only she can. Author Reply: I've always wondered why the Moon wasn't seen by the Fellowship while they recovered from Gandalf's fall. It was most interesting to figure out a possible reason why this might be true.

Lovely conversation Larner. Great timing too as I was sitting on the hill at Warwick race course watching the new moon rise this evening. The thinnest sliver against a lovely deepening blue. And then the ' hunter' was shining down on me while I was waiting for Shadow to finish in the garden before bedtime. Bonuses of living where I do. Galadriel has many reunitings to look forward to. Author Reply: She ought to have so many reunions once she returns to the Undying Lands, and hopefully will receive acceptance from many who condemned her when she left. Finrod will at last be able to embrace his sister once more as well.
