LOL! I love the logic here and the arguing is just so real. It sounds like debates we had as children, where far-flung theories were acceptable and any line of thinking was eagerly chased down. I especially loved this: “But,” Elfwine broke in, “if a horse’s wings were on its feet, then its feet would rise in the air faster than the rest of it, and it would have to fly upside-down!” Omgosh, too funny!! Also, Lady Arwen is related to everyone. SO true! This is a great romp, just a lovely feel-good, laugh a lot story. The children sound just as they should and I feel like I'm sitting there cross-legged listening to them speak. On to more! Author Reply: Thanks so much for all your kind comments, Levade! I'm so delighted that you enjoyed this. I initially imagined it as a pretty straightforward narrative, but once I started in on the dialogue, the kids just took over. I must admit, I'm especially glad you got a kick out of "Lady Arwen is related to everyone." For some reason, that line cracked me up as soon as it popped into my head. | |
