Hee! Love the idea that Aragorn introduced second breakfast to Gondor. Everyone could do w second breakfast ... :-) I’m anxious to see what Gimli has in mind. Author Reply: *grins* I hate to think of the hobbits becoming nothing but a faraway legend in the South. Second breakfast is so down-to-earth. :)

Oh, so delightful! And Gimli is moved to bring some magic into Frodo-lad's life, is he? Wonderful! Author Reply: Thank you! I'm that you like this idea. :)

I love the detail in this. It seems very real and very warm as I read it. I miss reading fanfic and Periantari was kind enough to send the link to your story to me. I love the undercurrent of affection and the way Gimli, Arwen, and Aragorn are so comfortable with one another. I also enjoy the young page and the way you wrote him. Author Reply: It's lovely to hear from you, my friend. Thank you! I can only imagine that the bonds and affection between the Fellowship members would only grow stronger with time.

Lovely story! I loved the letter describing Frodo lad and i can't wait to see what Gimli has in store! Can't wait for more! Author Reply: Thank you, my friend! Can you imagine the different personalities of 13 children? Sam must have so much to say about all of them.

Frodo-lad is rightly named - I love that section of the proud Papa regaling us all about how wonderful his boy is :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :) Author Reply: It's nice to see through Sam's proud eyes. We don't hear much about Frodo-lad!

I'm enjoying the start of this delightful story very, very much!! I wonder very much what Gimli has in mind for young Frodo :) Author Reply: Thank you very, very much! :)

I love Aragorn's kindness to the messenger boy and young Frodo's desire for Elvish magic. Lovely to see a new story from you. Author Reply: Thank you, Linda. I suspect that Gondorian children growing up after the War of the Ring would have had such a different experience than those who grew up with Denethor as Steward.

Shirebound, you always delight with your stories! It's like you have a viewing glass and can see into their world (which would make us all very envious!). Poor Arwen. She gained a great deal with her choice, but at times it must have hit her what she lost as well and that would be very hard when you have a perfect memory. I think she discounts what she brought to the world of Men in her lifetime, however. Doubtless she had some healing lore from her father and other gifts Tolkien never mentioned. I love Gimli. I can't wait to see what he has conjured up and how his visit to the Shire goes! Eagerly waiting for more.... Author Reply: Thank you for your kind words! I also think that Arwen would have brought incredible gifts and potential as Queen of the Reunited Kingdom. What a wise and compassionate co-ruler for our beloved healer-king. I'm so glad the Professor gave us glimpses Gimli's humor and affection when he was around 'his hobbits', and the depth of love he felt for his friends. It's a joy to write about it.

A new story! Hurrah! And it promises to be really interesting - thank you so much - am really looking forward to it. Author Reply: Thank *you* so much! Your enthusiasm is so inspiring. :)

I love this, though it saddens me to think that Aragorn will never visit the Shire again. Gimli is delightful, as always, and I look forward to seeing what he has in mind to share with young Frodo. Scamps decendents! How wonderful. Author Reply: Thank you, my friend. I'll see if I can get Gimli to hurry up with that gift. That Scamp! Hobbiton has never been the same. :)
