| the funny, unabashed ways of Hobbits That always makes me grin, too. This is a very nice conversation between Merry and Faramir. Author Reply: Shirebound! Really glad you liked it. As I was writing it I thought what would a hobbit do, well he would pull out his pipe of course! And being the convivial souls that they are he would offer one to Faramir as well! I had a hard time thinking what exactly Merry would say about Eowyn. He wasn't at Helm's Deep and didn't meet Eowyn until later but Professor Tolkien described him as the person to speak with, "They talked long together and Faramir learned much, more than even than Merry put into words" so I ran with that! thanks for reading and so glad you liked it. | |
