| May I ask what happened to the people who were saved by Thranduil? I know they were offered a shelter in Mirkwood but what happened later to them? Author Reply: I imagined they carried on living happily in Mirkwood, maybe joined the Woodmen. :) | |

| I couldn't get a better gift today!!!! The battle scenes are incredible!!! I felt as if I was standing there with my king ready to follow him. Wonderful scene when his guards did everything to rescue him. It reminds me of the Hobbit where lords surrounded him to fight with him. It shows how much he is loved and respected. I absolutely loved the scene when they found out that Thranduil was rescued by Lin's pendant. Is it possible to know if she is still in Mandos Halls or she was given another life in Valinor? Is it possible that lord Namo allowed her to reach her somehow to him? I loved Mithrandir' s remark that if more like him Elves still lived in the Middle Earth it would be easy to defeat the enemy!!! The bond between Thranduil and Legolas is so well written!!! It is wonderful that each of them knows that he is loved and appreciated. I am mesmerised by your story and you made my day with update!!! I fell in love with multidimensional characters from the first page and I love them more and more with each chapter you have added. The world you created is stunning. It makes me to immerse myself in this world and never want to leave. This story is extremely well written with a thrilling plot and unpredictable twists and turns. A cast of unforgettable, engaging and complex characters that often make reread chapters and can't have them enough!!! Thank you for offering me the opportunity to take part in this epic journey. | Thank you for updating! I am always happy to see an update and I was not disappointed! I love that Lindoriel’s pennon saved him from further injury and also love his dream as he was waking up. | Conquistadora! You cannot imagine my delight on seeing that you had posted a new chapter to this story! It remains wonderful! Like the return of an old friend! May we expect updates a little more frequently? Hint! hint! ;-) The depth and richness of this story is one of the reasons it is so compelling. One question. Where are we in the timeline of the Third Age. I think I remember when the Rhovanion plague happened but was the battle just after the plague? I have something of a permission to ask. I am currently writing a story about Thranduil and Legolas which will eventually lead to their reunion after the Ring War. When writing for Thranduil I find that I am referring to his memories of having dealings with Sauron in his guise as Annatar in the Second Age remembering your story. Is it OK that I am writing that these are memories that Thranduil is having? You wrote it so well and so vividly it stuck with me. I hope you don't mind. So happy to see an update! Stay safe! MM Author Reply: Thank you! I am slightly mortified that it takes me so long to update. According to my master draft timeline, we are currently in TA 1700, roughly 60 years after the plague. (To think that file has been a work in progress for sixteen years. Yikes.) Feel free to reference the Annatar bits in your story! I think that's awesome. Maybe include a footnote pointing your readers my way. :D | |
