| Ah, they did use boar spears as well as bows! But from horseback, instead of foolishly standing their ground! And no hobbits injured this time, a blessing to be sure. Author Reply: It made sense to me that they'd use their ponies' weight for an advantage. Of course, it means the ponies have to be courageous and well-trained, and the hobbits have to take care to safeguard their mounts. But then, for them (unlike for hunters in the Middle Ages, from what I read), boar-hunting is a necessity rather than an opportunity to prove something to others. Thanks! | |

| A most successful hunt indeed, with but one injury and no deaths save for the pigs. I rejoice Ferdi didn't see a repeat of Ferumbras's disaster. Will be there for Easter. See you the 13th or 14th?
