| Oh! Pippin did get his troll! Thank you so much for including that. I'm hoping that the particular "one of the Guardsmen" that the troll picked up was indeed Beregond, as well. I know he was cut from the film, but he's one of my favorites in the book. (And I have been so glad to see him and his son Bergil in this story.) (And now I want to add a chapter to Angst, something to the effect of Beregond complaining that he was in the story, but someone called an Editor left all his scenes on the cutting-room floor, wherever that might be...) I never before picked up on the detail the son of Elrond told Kevin, in all my readings of the book! One of everything... even if the items belonged to two different people. Well done! The question arises, will it be a hobbit's foot or a Kevin's foot that Gimli sees? Or both? Author Reply: Read on and find out! LOL. K.G. Author Reply: You know how fond I am of both Beregond and Bergil, so they have to feature in this story. (I have always thought that if Bergil had not been cut from the movie, that young Daniel Radcliffe, as he was in the first HP movie, would have been ideal for Bergil!) DF | |
