| Of course the longer meeting with the king the better :D but this chapter greatly shows that life just goes on and links some threads. Before the army marches to the war they have to be prepared well or they will just lose. This chapter shows Thranduil as a king who cares about his people's lives and doesn't wait idly as a miracle or Valar appear to save him but he is the one who thinks, cares and saves people. He is a host of his realm and he really cares. Love this aspect of his. It is not trivial because it spares lives. | |

| I was in the seventh heaven when I saw the notification about update!!! Thranduil is so clever to use additional reinforcement for the breast plate and it could create additional income for the realm if they decided to share this innovation. Being presented to such ancient King had to be a bit scary experience for the king of Men. I tried to imagine how I could feel in such occasion and even if I knew the king was friendly I would definitely be scared because it is difficult to comprehend how many ages he survived and what opponents he faced and still he was alive. It is so sad Amroth died. I really love your idea that he was Celeborn's son. I wonder if Legolas tries to find someone to fall in love with or he waits to get to Valinor and perhaps reunite with his ex fiancee. He must be a bit disappointed that they postponed the wedding because they could face together difficulties and now he surely wonders if perhaps she builds her life with someone else. You are a WONDERFUL WRITER. I couldn't be happier with your update!!!! Author Reply: Thank you! | Conquistadora! Quite the whirlwind of history in this chapter. I really enjoyed the mention of the peoples who will become the Rohirrim! Tragic what happened Amroth and his love. Thranduil must feel besieged at times and as ever he seeks to protect his people. I continue to love this story so look forward to see where you take it. Stay safe mellon nin!
