| Much as I like Theodred, it's strange that I had never before considered how hard it must have been for him to see Theoden withering away under Grima's influence. To lose a father is hard enough, but to lose one who is still alive and yet dead to all reason must be even harder. On this note, how much it must have hurt Eomer and Eowyn, who had already lost their father to death, to slowly watch their uncle who was as a father to them, shrink and wither. *shudders* I am very thankful both of my parents are still with us today. Another wonderful story. Poor Theodred. How heavily his duties as prince of Rohan must have hung upon him during those dark days. I envy him not and wish only that Tolkien had not killed him. (But then Eomer would not have been King. Oo, can't have that. :) ) I love you're writing! Author Reply: Thank you Chigger, I always felt that Theodred and Eomer were as close as brothers and both were powerful warriors. It was no wonder that Saruman feared them and ordered their demise through Grima. Yes, how different it all would have been if Theodred had survived!! Eokat. | |

| This is chilling, given that we know what's coming. I am very happy that you are developing the character of Theodred because he's pretty much a blank in both book and movie. A beautiful blank, but a blank. Author Reply: I know it is a little chilling, I wanted to keep readers guessing till the end and I hope that I have done that. I will write more about Theodred but my fav character is always Eomer. Am working on a new one about...well you will have to wait. All my stories will be about Rohan so you will have to wait and see!!! | |
